ExtremeDrumming.Net is the cumulative work or two dedicated drummers: Gary Cadima (Nagrath) and Scott Elliott, Jr. (DoomAxe). The beginning of this website spawned as a small personal site originally written and run by Gary. It originally featured a modest amount of content containing articles geared towards extreme drummers and the drumming genre in general. This site generated some notoriety among the various drumming forums, and eventually led to his interactions with Scott.

After a short period of time, Scott suggested a plan to upgrade Gary’s small site into a much larger one with a message board so that extreme drummers and drummers of all genres could congregate and talk. Shortly thereafter, the first version of EDN was born. It was originally cited as EMD, Extreme Metal Drumming. It was renamed with the site changed servers. Some of the older members still use EMD and EDN interchangeably.

Over the years, EDN has changed, expanded, and has grown to great heights. It has attracted many drummers all over the world, and many high profile drummers such as:

* Hellhammer – Mayhem, Arcturus, Winds, Shining
* Adrian Erlandsson – Cradle of Filth, At The Gates
* Asgeir Mickelson – Borknagar, Spiral Architect
* Tim Waterson – WFD Fastest Foot Drummer world record holder.

With that, EDN has been privileged to talk with many other great people all over the world, with new members coming every day to join the leagues of what use to be just a simple personal website by Gary.
